I also have been a CFF teacher for the past two years. I just finished taking an on-line class about building a Wiki. Unfortunately I am a digital immigrant and I really have to work hard to learn all of this new technology! I find it much easier to learn when someone else shares their tips rather than trying to read about it myself.
Blog Uses
I think blogging would be a great tool to use in the social studies and English classes. I am going to try to get some of my teachers to try using the blog feature through edline this year. Last year some of the English teachers were concerned about student behavior in blogs. They wanted to have some rules set up in their syllabus and assertive discipline plans for when/if the students misbehaved.
Neverending student
As a CFF coach for three years, I have learned that with technology, you are NEVER done learning!
Perfection not necessary.
Hello everyone. In the past 2 years as a member of CFF I think I have learned more than 1001 things about technology and Web 2.0; at least my tired brain thinks so...
Most importantly I have learned not to worry about finding the perfect app, just find one that works, is safe and does what you need. Technology changes sooooo fast there is always something bigger, better and brighter available just over the horizon.
